Crain’s 40 Under 40 Highlights NoMad Neighbors

In their annual New York Business 40 under 40 list, Crain’s has highlighted the NoMad District. Four of the business owners included come from our neighborhood.

We are always excited when Crain’s calls out some of our exceptional neighbors, but want to make sure our NoMaders are placed in the right neighborhood! Just yesterday, we saw in the Flatiron newsletter that almost all of the neighbors they claimed actually fall within the lines of NoMad; all except Ben Smith of Buzzfeed who is clearly within their boundaries. So we wanted to set the record straight, and give credit to some of our most exciting neighbors under 40 years of age.

Andy Dunn, 34, is the founder and CEO of NoMad-based men’s clothing retailer Bonobos. You might recall our cool behind-the-scenes video at the Bonobos office. What separates Bonobos from other online clothing retailers, is that you can get a private appointment in a showroom within their offices and have a stylist help you pick out clothing. They also do really creative events like pop-up shops and scotch tastings.

April Bloomfield, 38, is the Chef and Co-Owner of John Dory Oyster Bar and The Breslin (in the Ace Hotel); both NoMad District staples. She is a meat expert and her Breslin burger routinely draws raves. April is a rising star in the culinary world with her five restaurants.

Other highlighted NoMad neighbors include Manisha M. Sheth, 39, from Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan and Katia Beauchamp, 30, from Birchbox.

Congrats to all our fabulous NoMad District neighbors!
