Celebrate Valentine’s Day in NoMad with Museums, Deals and Dinner
Still undecided on how to let that special someone know how much they mean to you this Valentine’s Day? Leave it to the boutiques, museums and restaurants of NoMad to offer plenty of romantic options.
Valentine’s Day Dinner in NoMad
As usual, the restaurants of NoMad are offering fantastic special menus for Valentine’s Day.
La Pecora Bianca is offering a $75 prix fixe menu that includes delicious (and libidinous) fried oysters with steak tartare and butter-poached Lobster.
If you are looking for low lights and great food, book a spot at the Black Barn Chef’s Table, which includes an “aphrodisiac abundant” six-course menu with seared tuna, Hudson Valley Foie Gras and Chocolate Cremeux. Explore the full menu here, priced at $195 per guest.
For another amazing option, The NoMad Restaurant is featuring a four-course prix fixe menu from star Chefs Daniel Humm and James Kent, for $165 per guest. Add on the Wine Pairing for $95 or Champagne Pairing for $125.
Finally, for a heart-warming take on a classic Italian family meal menu, The NoMad Bar is offering Mamma Guidara’s dinner, available with wine and cocktails for $95 per person.
Museum of Sex
Head to the one and only Museum of Sex for amorous exhibits and the museum’s Get Some Love Valentine’s Day celebration. They are sure to get you in the mood.
With your Valentine’s Day tickets to the museum, you will receive a Lovers Champagne Cocktail for two as well as a Free Aphrodisiac Potion, while supplies last.
While you’re at the museum, explore the fantastic exhibits on display, such as Night Fever: New York Disco 1977-1979, The Bill Bernstein Photographs. The exhibit is paired with audio interviews that illuminate the late-‘70s scene that centered on venues like Studio 54 and Paradise Garage. The exhibit even features a replica disco dance floor with live DJs and a full cocktail bar!
Forbes called Known/Unknown: Private Obsession and Hidden Desire in Outsider Art, “One of the five most anticipated new exhibitions of 2017.” As one would imagine, the exhibit presents various photographs, sculptures and paintings that center on sexual experiences. However, as the museum describes it, “Overall, the work is fueled by secrecy and isolation, resulting in imagery that is far from ordinary experiences of sexuality.”

Heyday
NoMad’s Heyday salon, which last year won the award from New York Magazine for Best Basic Facial in New York City, is offering a collection of special Valentine’s Day gift packages which you can purchase online.
With prices ranging from $115 to $230, the gift packages are designed for the girlfriend, boyfriend or BFF in your life. Packages include facials (or course), body oils, bath salts, special therapeutic candles and even “beard therapy” for the man in your life!
