Weekend in NoMad: Fall Kids Fest 2014
Head over to NoMad this weekend and check out Fall Kids Fest 2014 in Madison Square Park. The half-day festival runs this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and offers families many fun and free activities.
The event kicks off with Songs for Seeds, the children’s music group named Best Music Class 2010 by New York Magazine. They will lead groups through original compositions and covers of adulting contemporary songs to provide a fun, stimulating and interactive experience. Songs for Seeds will play three half hour sets starting at 11 a.m., noon, and 1 p.m.
DJ KC Anderson, of Brunch Baby, Brunch, will perform at 11:30 a.m.. Magician and illusionist Kid Ace will perform at the Main Stage at 12:30 p.m. and children’s band The Trummytones will perform at 1:30 p.m.
The event, sponsored by Madison Square Park Conservancy, will also include a pumpkin patch, a LEGO Halloween building area and an obstacle course. The Big Apple Circus will host two costume parades, one at noon and again at 1 p.m. Head over to NoMad this weekend and check out the fun!
