Weekend in NoMad: Mother’s Day 2013

manzanilla nyc's chef dani garcia is offering a delicious mother's day 2013 meal

Looking for Mother’s Day plans in NYC? There are plenty of amazing and fun things to do in the NoMad neighborhood.

Recently opened Manzanilla has prepared a scrumptious looking 4-course dinner with optional wine pairings. For $65 per person, you will dine on superstar Chef Dani Garcia‘s tomato and cherry gazpacho, bacalao en salsa verde, saddle of lamb and a seasonal fruit fondue. If you haven’t had a chance to check out Manzanilla yet, this would be a great way to start.

As we mentioned yesterday, ilili has some incredible sounding specials planned for Mother’s Day. From Chef Phillipe Massoud’s almond cake to his contemporary take on middle eastern classic flavors, ilili is a great bet. Check out shots of their recently added brunch menu in the “I’m NoMad” video they appeared in.

Before or after a delicious meal in the NoMad neighborhood, head to Madison Square Park to check out Orly Genger’s Red, Yellow and Blue. This NYC public art installation has transformed Madison Square Park into a wondrous realm of imagination. Drawing inspiration from abstract expressionist painter Barnett Newman, Orly Genger’s giant rope structures undulate throughout the park filling the area with beautiful colors.

Have a great Mother’s Day!
