Six Romantic Restaurants in NoMad Offering Valentine’s Day Specials

Valentine’s Day is this Thursday, and if you haven’t yet nailed down date plans with your special someone, you’re not out of luck (yet). The NoMad neighborhood is filled with wonderful restaurants, and a number of them are offering special menus designed to tantalize the senses and put you in the mood for romance. To make it easy, we’ve listed six of the neighborhood’s finest below. If any of these tickle your fancy, be sure to make reservations soon as time slots are filling up.

BLACKBARN

Valentine’s Day in a “barn?” Certainly! This upscale rustic restaurant is highly popular any time of year, but for Valentine’s Day, chef John Doherty has created a generous three-course menu packed with no less than 13 aphrodisiacs. (Those dishes are even marked with a heart on the menu for your convenience.) Cost: $85 per person.

Woodpecker by David Burke

Nothing beats the smoky flavor of food cooked in a wood-fired oven, which is why a Valentine’s meal at Woodpecker might just be the thing to rekindle the embers of your relationship. Chef David Burke has prepared a three-course Valentine’s menu of romantic delights, with appetizers like crab salad and Oysters Rockefeller, along with main courses that include lobster ravioli, filet mignon and lavender-glazed duck breast. The pre-fixe menu begins at 7:30 pm. Cost: $75 per person. (Add $35 for a Porterhouse steak for two.)
