NoMad Neighbors: Adele Gutman from Hotel Giraffe
Time for another NoMad Neighbors feature! Last week, we heard from Tommy Tardie from The Flatiron Room. This week, we have Adele Gutman from Hotel Giraffe and Library Hotel Collection dish on her favorite spots to go out in the NoMad District. Hotel Giraffe is home of Bread & Tulips (who recently did a NoMad Neighbors feature as well).
It’s always fun to see where our neighbors like to hang out after work. Check out her answers below:
Where do you go for drinks after work?
My favorite bar is the rooftop garden of the Hotel Giraffe with cocktails and refreshments provided by Bread & Tulips. I even got married there! When the weather is fine, it is beautiful to be able to enjoy among friends the sun and flowers surrounded by the beautiful Manhattan skyline.
Quirkiest place in NoMad?
I love Stepping Out Dance Studios for their classes, parties, Salsa academy and Zumba Classes. It is definitely quirky and definitely the most fun form of exercise you can do at any age.
Where do you go to lunch most often?
My desk! Thank goodness for room service from Bread & Tulips.
Favorite art installation at Madison Square Park?
Trees and squirrels by master artist Mother Nature.
What is your favorite spot to grab coffee?
I never have to go out for coffee since we have a $15,000 Cimbali cappuccino machine from Italy in the lobby of the Hotel Giraffe. Sorry it’s like a private club and just for overnight guests as part of the 24 hour a day complimentary refreshments include with the room rates.
What is your favorite building in NoMad?
The Flatiron Building!
Best spot to take a date or your significant other?
Ilili. I love Middle Eastern food and Ilili is probably the best Lebanese restaurant in the city. [Editor’s Note: Ilili has a really cool restaurant week special going on right now!]
