Valentine’s Day in NoMad: ilili, Angels & Devils at Bo’s
It’s Valentine’s Day again and in case you’re still making plans, the NoMad District has a range of options for you, from casual to classy.
Mediterranean restaurant ilili has a five-course Valentine’s Day menu. Start the evening with hummus, shrimp and salmon roe before moving onto the diver scallop carpaccio (served with yuzu lemon and jalapeno ice cream). For the third course, choose between foie gras with pomegranate molasses or escargots bourguignonne. For the entree, have your pick of the duck moujamedeh, roast lamb shank or crab shis barak. Close the night with the coconut rice pudding or their sensuous rose scented chocolate cake. The meal costs $110 (for two) and includes a gift bag.
If you’re looking for something a bit more casual, Bo’s Kitchen and Bar Room is throwing its Angels & Devils party. “Angels” may enjoy the standard Bo’s menu upstairs, where they will be serenaded by the romantic sounds of a live jazz violinist. “Devils” may prefer to head to the basement lounge and enjoy their New Orleans-style meal with the edgier entertainment of a live saxophonist. Stick around for DJ Miles Robbins, spinning late into the evening. Reserve a table here.
After dinner, you can also opt to head over to the Ace Hotel for the Turntable Lab DJs who will be playing their favorite collections of love-themed R&B hits. The music starts at 8 p.m. in the Lobby Bar and admission is free.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
