Terrible Records Plays the Ace Hotel
Stop by the Ace Hotel Lobby Bar tonight to check out an evening of music curated by Terrible Records. The event is a part of a Wednesday night series hosted by the indie music label.
Founded in 2009 by Chris Taylor (of Grizzly Bear fame) and Ethan Silverman, Terrible Records is a Brooklyn-based label that features a number of the scene’s biggest acts. Taylor created Terrible Records as a means of promoting and supporting artists he enjoyed. He went on to produce records for many artists including Dirty Projectors, Department of Eagles and Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson. The label’s roster of artists boasts such luminaries as Grizzly Bear, Twin Shadow, Chairlift and Solange Knowles.
The label has also released music by Diamond Terrifier (Sam Hillmer of ZS), who just finished up his own Monday night series at the Ace Hotel last month.
We trust the night will be in good hands as DJs and friends of the label will play mixtapes all night long. The night is free and open to the public. Music starts at 8 p.m.
This should be a lot of fun!
