NoMad Neighbors: Paula Tucker from Jazz Standard
When you work at one of the most prestigious jazz clubs in NYC, you probably have good taste. Paula Tucker is the general manager of Jazz Standard and was kind enough to pick out some of her favorite spots in the NoMad Neighborhood for us.
Jazz Standard, one of the top jazz clubs in NYC, hosts nightly performances from some of the legends of the genre and some of the hottest up and comers of the modern era. Check out her answers below:
Favorite art installation at Madison Square Park?
My favorite art installation is Scattered Light, where the light bulbs reacted to movement.
Where do you go for drinks after work?
My colleagues and I absolutely love The Churchill. The staff is pretty awesome and the kitchen stays open late which is perfect since we tend to get out after 11pm often.
What is your favorite spot to grab coffee?
I love Fika because I can get almond milk lattes and I’m always greeted with a smile.
What is your favorite building in NoMad?
The Gershwin Hotel has such a cool façade. I love walking past it!
Best spot to take a date or your significant other?
SD26 has amazing food and drinks! The space is gorgeous, the mood is vibrant and fun. I also love the open kitchen and the iPads for menus.
