NoMad Gothic-Inspired Condo Construction Nearing Its 40-story Height

After hitting its halfway mark as recently as December, a new 40-story condo building in NoMad is now almost at its full height.

As reported by Curbed New York, the lattice crown of the Morris Adjmi-designed building is now under construction, soon to add its mark to the ever-changing NYC skyline.

Rising at 30 East 31st Street on the former site of old parish house of the Madison Avenue Baptist Church, the new structure will tip its hat to NoMad’s historic Gothic revival and Art Deco traditions with numerous architectural features inside and out, according to Morris Adjmi Architects. Most visible among these is the building’s signature lattice crown, which if renderings prove correct, will give the structure an inspiring classic look that will be easily identifiable in future photos of the skyline.

Designed for space and luxury, the new building will house only 42 condo units within its 40 stories, with one- and two-bedroom units starting at $1.65 million and a 3-bedroom penthouse priced at $12 million. Watch for construction to be complete in 2019.
