The NoMad Draws Raves Overseas

British newspaper The Telegraph recently raved about The Nomad Library Bar

The NoMad is getting some buzz across the pond. Daily British newspaper The Telegraph, recently featured an article about The NoMad restaurant and Library Bar in the paper’s luxury section.

The Telegraph’s food and drink critic Ed Cumming called the Library, “a pleasant place to read the newspaper. The crowd is smart but not stuffy, and on a Thursday night there were even a few children eating fried chicken, while their parents had a drink… I was charmed.”

Mr. Cumming was entertained by bar director and mixologist Leo Robitschek and seemed to be pleased with the drinks stating that the “first round of Martinis, Manhattans and Negronis were faultless.” Mr. Robitschek also introduced the British critic to the Library’s card game: the patron picks from a deck of spirit cards before choosing three “mood cards,” (cards with themes like “Smokey the Bear” and “Bruce Lee”). The corresponding flavors are mixed to create a drink.

International press is always exciting to see, but especially good news given the rumored Library bar expansion.
