Covid-19 Challenge: Employee Assistance Programs

Perhaps no sector of the economy has suffered more than employees who have been furloughed or laid-off as restaurants, hotels, and stores close and businesses of all types scale back. We have collected information about assistance available to individual employees.  As the situation develops, we will continue to post additional information that may help you, including news of new aid programs and services to help those who have lost paychecks or have seen their businesses contract.

General

NY Unemployment Insurance: New York State is waiving the 7-day waiting period for unemployment insurance for those who are out of work due to COVID-19, quarantine, and any associated policies. The Federal CARES Act will add $600 weekly to unemployed workers for a period of up to four months through July 31.
