Cafe El Presidente Pop-Up Shop Near Madison Square Park
NoMad newcomer Cafe El Presidente will be hosting a breakfast and taco truck pop-up shop tomorrow, August 5th, in Madison Square Plaza.
Cafe El Presidente has been getting quite a lot of buzz since its opening earlier this summer, and the restaurant has decided to offer a special one-time-only pop-up shop to help promote their new breakfast service.
The taqueria will set up shop in a converted VW Bus parked at the corner of 5th Avenue and 23rd Street, right next to Madison Square Plaza. The truck will be serving freshly made pastries, tacos and complimentary La Antigua coffee from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The truck will also be giving away a grand prize to a lucky customer — a special chef’s tasting menu and dinner for six.
The restaurant, which is owned and operated by the team at Nolita’s Tacombi, offers signature tacos and uniquely flavored tortillas made in house by Executive Chef Jason DeBriere. Swing by the pop-up tomorrow to catch the fun, and be sure to tweet and Instagram your photos to #PresidentePopUp.
