Weekend in NoMad: Next Collective, DJ Miss Guy
There are some really cool events going on in the NoMad neighborhood this weekend. With such a diverse array of cultural happenings, it can be overwhelming to decide what to do. Lucky for you, we’ve narrowed it down to a couple really fun options!
Next Collective will perform all weekend at Jazz Standard. This contemporary ensemble blurs the lines between post-bop, modern jazz, R&B and hip-hop. They are known for expanding on current pop source material from artists like Drake, D’Angelo and Pearl Jam. See what it sounds like when amazing musicians improvise over “new standards.”
DJ Miss Guy will hit the decks tonight at Ace Hotel. Known for work in Toilet Boys, Miss Guy will bring NYC grit, rock and glam to the Lobby Bar. Enjoy a few drinks while hearing some great tunes.
