Fast-Casual VERTS Mediterranean Grill Arrives in NoMad

Verts Mediterranean Grill is open in NoMad NYC

What is quickly becoming the next great fast-casual restaurant chain, VERTS Mediterranean Grill, has chosen NoMad for its second location on the East Coast.

VERTS was founded in 2011 by two millennials that wanted to bring the popular Mediterranean food of Europe (chef-inspired pitas, bowls and salads) to the U.S. The founders, Michael Heyne and Dominik Stein, launched the first location in Austin, Texas and found immediate success with the philosophy of providing customers with savory and healthy offerings made every day from scratch. Today VERTS has 25 locations across Texas, one location in Boston and now its newly opened spot in NoMad, NYC!

“There’s a spirit and an energy about this city that’s unlike any other,” explained Michael Heyne, CEO and Co-founder of VERTS. “We’re thrilled to bring our healthy, chef-driven Mediterranean menu to this vibrant culinary community.”

This location is just the beginning of the expansion plans for the restaurant chain. Listed among the top 25 fastest growing fast-casual restaurants in 2016 by Restaurant Business, VERTS has received over $35 million in investment over the past five years and plans to open more than 200 locations by 2020.

“New York is the epicenter of the food world featuring restaurant concepts from around the globe that cater to a sophisticated and diverse clientele,” said Dominik Stein, CFO and Co-founder of VERTS. “Our debut in New York is exciting because we can now showcase our brand to new audiences, taking a very important step toward our expansion into new markets.” The next time you need a quick and healthy meal, try out the VERTS location on 23rd Street and see why it is the next big thing in fast-casual food. We welcome this great addition to the NoMad culinary scene.
