Join Mil’s Trills at Summer Family Night in Madison Square Park Tomorrow, July 12
Summertime is the perfect occasion for enjoying the great outdoors with family—and this Friday gives you the perfect opportunity to do so. Bring the kids out to Madison Square Park on Friday, July 12 at 5:30 p.m. for Summer Family Night, featuring a special interactive musical experience with award-winning children’s musical project Mil’s Trills.
Friday’s performance will celebrate the premiere of Mil’s Trills Songwriting Obstacle Course, an interactive experience designed to introduce children to the joy of creating songs. The one-of-a-kind course will involve a three-step journey during which children will compose their own lyrics, melody and rhythm accompanied by the band. It will be a truly immersive and educational experience — and surely an exciting and fun one, too.
Based in Brooklyn, Mil’s Trills is the brainchild of singer/songwriter Amelia Robertson, who performs original music accompanied by a rotating roster of musical guests. Robertson and friends have garnered multiple Parent’s Choice Awards, released several children’s albums, and performed at noted venues like the Lincoln Center, the Guggenheim, the Children’s Museum of Manhattan and the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham. The Songwriting Obstacle Course is part of the band’s new Musical Playdates songwriting series.
The night promises to be a unique experience for you and you children, so come on out and join in the music making.
