Jazz Gallery Fundraising Campaign

jazz gallery fundraiser is underway

The Jazz Gallery is currently running a fundraising campaign that is set to conclude today. Their goal is to raise $20,000 by the end of the day. This campaign is in honor of Jazz Gallery Executive Director Deborah Steinglass, who is departing to take a position at New Music USA. Rio Sakairi and Russell Moore will continue and expand their roles at the organization to keep things running smoothly.

Two generous Jazz Gallery members have offered to make a $5,000 3:1 matching donation if the campaign goal is reached. We’re so lucky to have this warm and vibrant organization in the NoMad Neighborhood. Read Deborah’s impassioned words below:

I know we have asked a lot of all of you this past year. With your love and support, we survived the biggest obstacle in our history.  Together, we rose to the challenge, and now we have a positive goal to meet – people who love us are pledging a large gift to make sure The Gallery can get through periods of low cash flow all arts organizations face from time to time.  I hope you will help with this matching challenge by donating any amount you can – if everyone receiving this gives $50 we will meet the goal and then some.  But of course, if you can give more, please do.  And if your budget allows for a smaller gift such as $5, I hope you will contribute – every dollar makes a difference.  We are only as good as the sum of our parts, as Russell likes to say.  So be a part of that sum, please!
