INNSIDE Meliá Hotels’ First NYC Hotel and Scott Conant’s Impero Caffé

INNSIDE Melia NYC Opens in NoMad

A stylish new hotel, featuring a new restaurant helmed by celebrity chef Scott Conant, is open in NoMad.

One of the Meliá Hotels International imprints — INNSIDE has opened the first Meliá hotel in New York City: INNSIDE New York NoMad. Meliá Hotels was founded in Palma de Mallorca, Spain in 1956 and grew into a leading Spanish corporation. Today it is internationally renowned, and with more than 300 hotels spread across four continents and 40 countries, it is one of the world’s largest hospitality companies.

“Establishing a presence in New York City has always been a dream for Meliá Hotels International …  and we are thrilled to see this project come to life,” says Gabriel Escarrer, Vice Chairman and CEO of the company.

INNSIDE New York NoMad is located at 132 West 27th Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues. The hotel has 313 rooms and focuses on leisure and business travelers who appreciate hospitality with an urban lifestyle flair. The rooms feature oversized windows, complimentary minibar service, Wi-Fi, a Nespresso coffee machine, large rain shower and tub, and INNSIDE’s singular bedside lighting design.

An intriguing aspect of the hotel is its culinary offerings. INNSIDE New York NoMad is debuting a new Italian Bistro from Scott Conant, the celebrity chef and judge from the television show Chopped. The new eatery, the Impero Caffé, is Conant’s first restaurant in New York since exiting from his signature restaurant Scarpetta.

Impero Caffé, which will be opening in the very near future, will feature house made pastas, antipasti and the soulful, inspired Italian cooking that Conant is known for. The chef is also handling the beverage program for the hotel lobby bar.

Taken together, the INNSIDE New York NoMad and Conant’s Impero Caffé are major additions to NoMad, and we welcome both to the neighborhood!
