Culinary Stars Tim and Nancy Cushman Bring Covina to the Park South Hotel

The famous culinary couple Tim and Nancy Cushman, who opened their incomparable sushi institution O Ya last year to huge acclaim, are set to open a brand new restaurant at the same NoMad location — in the Park South Hotel.

Their new project named Covina will offer a Mediterranean twist to New American cooking. One of the most anticipated features of Covina will be a custom Neapolitan oven from Stefano Ferrara, the third-generation oven maker whose work is the gold standard for pizza ovens around the world.

NoMad has really become a home base for the Cushmans, and the power couple recently discussed the neighborhood, and all its culinary charms, with Architectural Digest. They told the magazine, “the whole area is transforming and includes an exciting mix of energy from new players alongside some classics. It’s a great, dynamic area to explore.”

The Cushman’s new restaurant won’t be opening until Spring. In the meantime, make a trip to O Ya for some of the most delicious sushi you will ever eat. If you are looking for something more casual, plan an evening at The Roof at Park South, the Park South Hotel rooftop lounge where the Cushmans also operate the food and beverage program.

We can’t wait for the Cushman’s newest restaurant to open, making NoMad all the more delectable.
