Weekend in NoMad: Tkat, Lonnie Smith Returns
It seems that week after week we have fantastic music in NoMad. This weekend is no exception.
Jazz Standard consistently books jazz great after jazz great. Dr. Lonnie Smith brings his “In the Beginning” octet back to NoMad for a return visit to Jazz Standard. The Hammond B3 master, who recorded in the 1960s for Blue Note, is performing all weekend. This will surely be fantastic.
If you don’t feel like live music but still want to hear some tunes, Tkat is DJing at Ace Hotel on saturday night. His set starts at 10pm in the Lobby Bar and is free. You can expect an eclectic set of afrobeat, rap, house and disco.
