Weekend in NoMad: Sunday “Fun”-day
For the most part, our “Weekend in NoMad” columns focus on friday and saturday nights. This week, we thought it would be fun to highlight some exciting ways to spend your sunday.
On sunday night, Ace Hotel will host a show by local-band Vensaire in their Lobby Bar. Vensaire has roots in many places including Japan, Berklee College of Music (in Boston) and right down the road in Chinatown. The 5-piece will perform after an opening set by the Pamela Martinez fronted Teletextile. The show is free, all ages and starts at 10pm.
Another fun sunday option is a late dinner at Les Halles. On sunday nights, Anthony Bourdain’s “home base” offers half price bottles of house champagne. This comes out to $25/bottle. So if you’re in the mood for a festive sunday night, oysters and champagne sounds pretty good to us!
If you plan on staying in this sunday night, you can always have a fun midday meal and grab brunch at ilili. They recently let us film their new brunch menu and it looks fantastic!
