Weekend in NoMad: Steve Kuhn Trio
Jazz veteran Steve Kuhn has made his way to the NoMad neighborhood for a long weekend of shows. Starting last night, Kuhn brings his trio to Jazz Standard.
The piano great is known for joining the John Coltrane Quartet in 1960 as a 22-year old newly minted Harvard grad. From there, Kuhn collaborated with other legends like Stan Getz, Gary McFarland, Sheila Jordan and more.
The Steve Kuhn Trio has been touring internationally since the late 1960s. This performance will feature Buster Williams (bass) and Billy Drummond (drums).
The band will perform multiple sets at Jazz Standard each night this weekend.
We’re lucky to have such incredible musicians in the NoMad neighborhood. Check them out!
