As a key sign of NoMad’s revitalization, a growing number of international corporations have moved into the neighborhood in recent years. The latest, according to BusinessWire, is global language solutions company TransPerfect, which recently signed a lease to move its global headquarters into the NoMad Tower at 1250 Broadway.

The company will occupy five stories in the tower, totaling more than 123,000 square feet, giving TransPerfect ample growing room.  As part of the move, the company has plans to add a significant number of new jobs to its NYC roster, currently at about 800 people.

According to Phil Shawe, President and CEO of TransPerfect, NoMad’s centralized location was a huge factor in the company’s decision to move here. “We expect our staff will enjoy such benefits as close proximity to commuting options,” he said, “having a centralized midtown location from which to service clients, working in a trendy and up-and-coming neighborhood, and the building’s amenities, which fit well with our culture.”

Since beginning in a New York dorm room in 1992, TransPerfect has grown to become the industry’s largest provider of language and technology solutions, employing more than 5,000 people in 90 cities across the globe. By offering such solutions as translation/interpretation services, multicultural marketing, website localization and more, TransPerfect enables businesses around the world to succeed in the global marketplace.

The company’s transition into the NoMad Tower is expected to be completed before the end of 2019. We are happy to welcome TransPerfect to what is rapidly becoming one of the finest work/live neighborhoods in NYC.
