This Weekend in the Nomad District

There are many great events in the NoMad District this weekend.

There is fun for the whole family at Madison Square Park in the NoMad District this weekend as well as exciting nightlife.

Madison Square Park in the NoMad District is a great spot to relax and enjoy the day with the family or by yourself. If you swing over to the park soon, you can make it for Art in the Park with Kristin from 2pm – 4:30pm. Today, they will be learning about and creating an Octopus. Teach your kids about this Sea Creature and have some wholesome fun.

There are many events on Saturday to choose from. At 10am, you can make sun magnets for your refrigerator. This is a perfect summer and sunny crafts outing for your kids. At 2pm, your kids can explore the park on a scavenger hunt. They’ll learn about the park monuments and the history of the park. For this activity, meet at Police Officer Moira Ann Smith playground. If your child is more about art rather than exploring, at 2pm as well they can use basic optical photography to create sun drawings.

If nightlife is more your thing, you can head over to the Ace Hotel lobby bar for interesting DJs and a great atmosphere. On friday night DJ Prestige will be spinning soul vinyl in the Ace Hotel Lobby Bar. On saturday, DJ Michael Cavadias will be playing alternative, pop, Motown and disco.

There’s always something for everyone in the NoMad District. Have a great weekend!
