This Weekend in The NoMad District
If you’re clued into this website, you know that there are always fun and interesting things to do in the NoMad District. This weekend is no exception. There are exciting and affordable options for the whole family.
A great day activity for all ages is the family art workshop at Madison Square Park. There are two sessions; one running from 10am-12pm and one running from 1pm-3pm. The theme of this week’s workshop is the Pet Sounds exhibit currently on display. This exhibit is the park’s latest installation and is by California-based artist Charles Long. The group will be making what they call “blob bracelets” to mimic the style of the installation. As always, adult supervision is required for all children.
If you are looking for some nightlife, head over to the Ace Hotel Lobby bar for DJ Brian Mette on Friday night. He will be spinning house, nu-disco, techno, and chillwave. On Saturday night, DJ Huggy Bear will be playing an eclectic mix including soul, jazz, rock and hip hop.
