Shack Week: David Chang’s Momofuku Shrimp Stack Burger

Head over to Madison Square Park and try out David Chang's Momofuku Shrimp Stack Burger, specially created for Shake Shack's 10th anniversary celebration

Shack Week continues in Madison Square Park with today’s special burger: David Chang’s Momofuku Shrimp Stack. As New York foodies know, few restaurants have the wild popularity and success as Momofuku. That’s why Shake Shack asked Momofuku founder and two-star Michelin chef David Chang to create a special burger in honor of their 10th anniversary.

Chang’s Momofuku Shrimp Stack features a beef cheeseburger topped with a smoked and griddled shrimp patty, Momofuku’s Hozon sauce, bibb lettuce, pickled onion and salted cucumber. There will be enough supplies for 1000 shrimp stacks, but patrons are limited to two per person. If the success of yesterday’s burger (Daniel Boulud’s Piggie Shack) is any indication, be sure to head over to the Shake Shack in Madison Square Park before supplies run out.

David told us that “Shake Shack has been instrumental in shaping the way New Yorkers eat over the past ten years so we’re excited to be a part of their anniversary. We knew we had to go all out on our Momofuku burger so we created The Shrimp Stack. This is our version of surf and turf, with Momofuku Hozon Sauce and a smoked shrimp patty.”

Remember to stop by Shake Shack Thursday for a party in the park, complete with live music, Dominique Ansel’s Shack-inspired birthday cake and a special Shack IPA from Brooklyn Brewery. Be sure to stay tuned to our week-long coverage for all the delicious details.
