The quintet consists of Carter on violin, Marvin Sewell on guitar, Will Holshouser on accordion, Chris Lightcap on bass and Alvester Garnett on drums. The ensemble will play sets at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Thursday through Sunday evening, with additional sets at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday. Thursday and Sunday evening shows cost $25; tickets for Friday and Saturday shows are going for $30.

Swing by NoMad this week and catch the quintet before they head to the world famous Detroit International Jazz Festival later this month.
