Prime & Wine Kosher Steakhouse Coming to NoMad
New York real estate magazine Commercial Observer is reporting that high-end Kosher steakhouse Prime & Wine will be coming to the NoMad neighborhood at the beginning of 2015.
Prime & Wine Kosher Steakhouse, which promises to be one of the best kosher restaurants in NYC, has signed a 15-year lease with JTRE Holdings for a 6,000 square-foot retail unit at 31 East 28th Street, between Madison and Park Avenues. No details are known about the restaurant’s menu, but the steakhouse is a new project from Prime Hospitality, a New York-based group that focuses on redefining the Kosher experience.
Ricky Braha of JTRE, who represented the landlord alongside Ephraim Setton, commented on the deal in prepared remarks, “After an extensive search and many inquiries from prospective high-end restaurants, we decided to go with Prime & Wine because of their experience and the need for a high-end Kosher Steakhouse in this emerging NoMad/Midtown South neighborhood.”
In the past few months, development in the northeast corner of NoMad has intensified. It was announced in September that work will begin early in 2015 on a 14-story condominium at 30 East 31st Street. A 53-story residence will rise, just off of 5th Avenue on 30th Street. The new Martha Washington hotel and Danny Meyer’s Marta opened early this fall on 29th Street. Prime & Wine on 28th is another step in linking this part of NoMad to 5th Avenue and the fast developing Broadway corridor.
JTRE Holdings bought the condo in May of this year for $4.2 million and have said, now that the space is leased, they may sell the unit
