Shake Shack

Shake Shack’s original shack started in NoMad’s Madison Square Park, serving tasty gourmet burgers, hot dogs, crinkle-cut fries, frozen custards, and of course shakes. Its instant popularity has had fans lining up daily ever since.
Using fresh, simple, high-quality ingredients, such as 100% Angus beef without antibiotics and hormones, Shake Shack creates the best “roadside” burger-stand offerings around.
It’s well worth the wait you might encounter. In fact, the NoMad Shake Shack’s popularity gave birth to The Shack Cam, a live video feed that enables customers to check the current line. Based on its fan following, it’s no surprise Shake Shacks have sprung up across the United States and worldwide.
In 2000, The Madison Square Park Conservancy tapped restaurateur Danny Meyer to help revitalize the park, and he started a hot dog stand. For three years, lines grew longer and longer – a testament to its appeal. In 2004, the hot dog stand moved into its permanent “shack” and expanded its menu to include its iconic gourmet burger, crinkle-cut fries, and shakes, becoming the internationally loved Shake Shack the world knows today.
The success of Shake Shack is a prime example of how NoMad is the source of local inspiration that has global potential and reach.
