Rizzoli

Rizzoli is one of the world’s best known publishers. Its NYC bookstores have been legendary and its latest store in NoMad is known for its beauty and broad selection of excellent books.
Rizzoli has maintained a bookstore in New York since 1964. The original uptown stores had old-world elegance, and when the Rizzoli Bookstore moved to the new creative and cultural center of NoMad in 2015, Rizzoli made sure the new store was similarly stunning. It is often referred to as “the elegant bookstore.”
Beautifully designed in fine materials, including marble floors and wood bookcases, the store is graced with magnificent Fornasetti-designed wallpaper, featuring elegant sketches of Italy’s most famous structures and fantasy hot air balloons amid clouds on an intense azure blue sky. For booklovers who love to browse quietly it is an oasis in the city and its wide selection of books makes it an ideal spot for anyone interested in architecture, interior design, fashion, photography, literature, cookery, and more.
But Rizzoli is more than a bookstore, it is a cultural center presenting writers and celebrities from all fields. The bookstore has a salon which is used for author lectures, discussions, book signings, and Rizzoli’s Sunday afternoon Aperitivo jazz series. Check the Rizzoli calendar for upcoming events.
