The District That Inspires®

NoMad Hotel

The NoMad Hotel is one of the most sought after boutique hotels in NYC, perhaps in the country.

The NoMad is housed in a turn-of-the-century Beaux Arts building that has been fully restored to its original grandeur with interiors by French designer Jacques Garcia. The design is intended as a fresh take on the classic grand hotels of Europe with a distinct New York sensibility.

The 168 rooms are residential in feel and decorated in a classic, timeless style. Each room is appointed with hand-selected, richly textured custom-designed furnishings and original artwork. The soaring ceilings throughout the public spaces provide fine gathering places to enjoy dining, drinking and socializing.

Tanner Campbell from the Sydell Group talks about why the firm chose the NoMad District as the location for the very successful  hotels — the Ace and NoMad— opened by the Sydell Group.

"We were originally attracted to the area because of its beautiful turn-of-the-century Beaux Arts architecture and buildings. On closer inspection, we discovered that the area was actually full of a large number of creative businesses and people in media, publishing, design, architecture and engineering, etcetera — all these are the exact type of people we like to take care of in our hotels."
