There's No Place Like NoMad

HGU New York

HGU New York is a boutique hotel that embraces the past, yet looks firmly to the future. From its jazz nights and classic glamour to its state-of-the-art spa treatments, HGU simultaneously embodies old and new in NoMad.

Originally opened in 1905 as the St. Louis Hotel, it was later named the Hotel Grand Union, inspiring its current HGU moniker. Renovated to capture the Gilded Age, this 90-room hotel sits proudly at 34 East 32nd Street (between Park Avenue and Madison Avenue), its Beaux-Arts exterior almost entirely intact.

HGU New York offers more than a few unique luxuries, including a personal pillow concierge and an in-room IV infusion therapy, which helps to restore nutrient levels.

Cocktails and jazz can be enjoyed at The Rose Hill Lounge, which features a fireplace from the original building. The rooftop bar offers libations and glittering views. The lobby doubles as an art gallery with contemporary pieces by Fab 5 Freddy and Carlos Quintana.
