Park Ave Tunnel Art Installation: Voice Tunnel

park ave tunnel art installation during summer streets 2013

There is a really cool art installation going on just north of the NoMad neighborhood. As mentioned in our Summer Streets 2013 post, artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer created an installation within the Park Ave Tunnel.

Known as Voice Art, you can walk into the tunnel and transmit your voice into a device which will then turn it into sound and light waves. This will take place over 300 spotlights and 150 speakers.

The installation will be open to the public the next three saturday mornings during Summer Streets 2013. Enter at 33rd Street and Park Ave.
