Izakaya NoMad

If you’re looking for a Japanese Izakaya Gastropub / Tapas Restaurant, look no further. This eclectic menu features Yakitori, Sashimi, Sushi, Tataki, and Izakaya “Tapas.” Ingredients are sourced from Lapera’s All Natural Poultry, Creekstone Farms’ Black Angus Beef, Eden Farms’ Berkshire Pork, and Yama’s Fresh Seafood.

For starters, try the “Famous” Tsukune Chicken Meatball with Yuan dipping sauce or Beef Short Ribs. Oyster Mushrooms or Shishito are tasty non-meat options. The Enoki Mushrooms wrapped in Smoked Bacon are not to be missed.

Larger plates to recommend are Teriyaki Ika (sizzling sautéed squid) and Buta Tofu Kimchi (caramelized kimchi & pork belly).

Il Fiorista

La Pecora Bianca NoMad

La Pecora Bianca NoMad is an anchor destination along the NoMad Piazza (Broadway between 25th Street and 31st Street).

Start the meal off right with The NoMad Piazza Aperol Spritz and Whipped Ricotta with truffle honey and country toast (ask for extra toast so you don’t miss a bit of its whipped deliciousness).

All of LPB’s in-house made pastas are wonderful, though the Gargenelli with roasted wild mushrooms, arugula pesto, garlic, and pecorino is beyond. For mains, the New York Strip Steak, Chicken Paillard, and Scallops all deliver.

For those with a sweet tooth, definitely save room for the Chocolate Hazelnut Budino with salted caramel and crumbled wafer.

wagamama NoMad/Flatiron

Nourish yourself with ramen, teppanyaki, donburi, curry, or handhelds at wagamama.

Favorites include the Grilled Duck Ramen (crispy duck leg, with cilantro and ponzu sauce, on top of noodles in a rich vegetable broth), Miso Cod Soba (green tea soba noodles, miso glazed cod, seasonal vegetables, and scallions), and Spicy Beef Brisket + Red Onion Donburi with Egg (beef brisket in a spicy teriyaki sauce, sticky white rice, shredded carrots, seasonal green, scallions, and kimchi).

Stand-out signature cocktails include the Tokyo Mule Sake (with ginger beer and lime), Spicy Rainwater (Rainwater Sherry, Bianco Vermouth, fresh citrus juice, light agave with a jalapeño salt rim), and Sun in a Glass (Bianco vermouth, fresh pineapple, pressed coconut water, and a hint of cardamom).
