NoMad Piazza Live Entertainment
This Fall, NoMad Piazza delivers stellar live entertainment. And it continues as establishments like Casa Nomad and The Breslin program a variety of live musical performances on the NoMad Piazza in Manhattan.
Casa Nomad
(1204 Broadway)
Casa Nomad features live salsa music every Friday and Saturday at 7:00 PM. Patrons of Casa Nomad can sit and enjoy Casa Nomad’s cocktails and seasonally inspired market-driven dishes while taking in live music outdoors (Casa Nomad’s new hot drink menu is especially good for Fall).
For Halloween, next Saturday, October 31, Casa Nomad teams up with Casamigos and offers a dinner pairing with their delicious tequilas and mezcal and Casa Nomad’s new fall menu. Cuarteto Mamey, a Latin/Cuban band will be performing live. Plus, Casa Nomad will be launching its new indoor space. Reservations required.
Outside, green Astroturf lines the stretch of Broadway on the northern part of the NoMad Piazza. A drop of arched white windows provides a backdrop to the performance area making it like no other venue in Manhattan.
Recent performances have included, Latin/Cuban music from Cuarteto Mamey; Latin band, Gato Gordo; Musa Musa; and singer/songwriter Greg Banks. Plus, a variety of DJs: DJ Ria Bird; DJ Belinda Becker (R&B, funk, disco, and hip-hop); and DJ Mickey Perez (old-school Latin and Afro-Cuban beats).

Broadway @ Breslin
(16 West 29th Street)

Sundays at 7:00PM, The Breslin offers a creative, safe way to get a fix of live Broadway-caliber entertainment with a delicious prix fixe menu. They have ingeniously developed “Broadway @ Breslin”: a prix-fixe dinner and live performance with Broadway talent serenading restaurant patrons from above. Performances are followed by a Q&A with Frank DiLella from New York 1.
Last Sunday, Broadway star Besty Wolfe, who recently starred in the musical Waitress, sang from the second story window of the Ace Hotel to diners below at The Breslin. Wolfe did not disappoint. She was in excellent voice, as she leaned out the hotel window with mic in hand. Wolfe was up-lit by strings of white lights draped from The Ace Hotel and backlit with blue lighting. Ironically, for a moment, it seemed as if Wolfe were performing on an incredibly realistic looking stage set of a hotel. The acoustics and lighting complemented and conveyed the star’s vocal talents well. Truly a one-of-a-kind experience.
In order to maintain safety, reservations and prix-fixe ($95 per person) are mandatory. No standing is allowed.
Future prix-fixe performances are:
- Sunday, October 25, @7:00pm: featuring Alysha Umphress with Q&A curated by Frank DiLella
- Sunday, November 1st @7:00pm: featuring Max von Essen with Q&A curated by Frank DiLella
Advice: Get tickets well in advance – the October 25 event is already sold out. If you’re lucky enough to get a reservation, you’ll literally have one of the best seats on Broadway.
The diversity and quality of NoMad Piazza’s live entertainment is unparalleled. If you’re looking for memorable performances and rhythms to get your pulse going, keep an eye on Casa Nomad and The Breslin.
