NoMad Alliance Update – Steering Committee Discusses NoMad Alliance
On May 14th, the NoMad Alliance took a huge leap forward with the first meeting of its steering committee — a group of 15 dedicated NoMad community members who have volunteered to help formulate the Alliance’s mission and structure.
Kudos to all those who attended. In an hour and a half, a great deal was accomplished. The NoMad Alliance steering committee agreed on the tasks needed to formally set up the Alliance, beginning by dividing into two working committees: one addressing legal and financial issues and one crafting a mission statement.
Once these first activities are completed and a mission statement is agreed upon, the steering committee will form new working groups to address budgets, dues, a board of directors, working sub-committees and priorities.
