New NoMad Restaurants Offer Thanksgiving Meals: Rocco, Black Barn, LPB
Every year, we love to highlight a few of the fantastic restaurants in NoMad that offer delicious Thanksgiving meals. This year, we’re thrilled to spread the word about three new restaurants and their delicious Thanksgiving menus.
Whether you’re craving a Thanksgiving meal with a seafood twist, Italian-flavor or classic steakhouse feel, you’re in good hands in NoMad.
Rocco Steakhouse
Rocco Steakhouse is offering an under-the-radar Thanksgiving feast. While the full menu is not public, Co-Owner/GM Pete Pjetrovic told us that Rocco Steakhouse will offer a “turkey special with cranberry sauce and stuffing, served steakhouse style by Chef Johnny Jevric.”
Details are limited, but we have no doubt that the quality of the experience, from each dish to the level of service, will be unparalleled. Every employee at Rocco Steakhouse has over 10 years of experience at a top New York steakhouse, with much of the top-level staff coming over from the acclaimed Wolfgang’s Steakhouse.
Pete also added that “you’ll have to stop by on Thanksgiving if you want to know more!”
Black Barn
Black Barn is another new NoMad restaurant with a high pedigree. Helmed by Chef John Doherty, formerly of the legendary Waldorf Astoria, Black Barn offers a delicious new-American menu with the restaurant’s decor drawing inspiration from Long Island’s East End.
The influence of the ocean is evident in Black Barn’s Thanksgiving menu, which marries Chef John’s fantastic New England Clam Chowder and Fried Oysters with all the classic Thanksgiving dishes.
John shared with us that he was inspired to create a 5-course artisanal menu that “will bring you home to a Thanksgiving meal that warms the heart.” Given that this is the only barn in New York City, it is sure to provide a cozy feeling of Americana, perfect for Thanksgiving.

La Pecora Bianca
Mark Barak’s La Pecora Bianca is another restaurant that has burst onto the NoMad scene. Chef Simon Bonelli drew on his experience from his stint at Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy to craft a fantastic rustic Italian menu, featuring everything from homemade pasta to classic Italian cocktails.
Mark shared with us that La Pecora Bianca’s Thanksgiving menu “combines the best of both Italian and local traditions: a classic and delicious free range turkey with wild mushroom stuffing and caramelized Brussels sprouts, together with a an autumn house-made Pumpkin Tortellini and desert featuring sage and amaretto cookies.”
La Pecora Bianca’s French country decor in a beautiful sun-drenched room is a great place to have a homey Thanksgiving feast.
