New Hotels Near Madison Park About To Sprout Up
There are plans for many new hotels near Madison Square Park in NoMad. While our neighborhood has been known recently for the boutique and hip hotels near Madison Square Park, some big brands are looking to make a play.
Marriott is planning to open a hotel in the historic Met Life Clock Tower. At one point, this building was the largest in the world. They are planning to make this hotel a part of the expansion of their EDITION hotel line. With the flagship of this line already operational in Istanbul, Marriott is planning other EDITION hotels in Bangkok, Miami and London; as well as this hotel near Madison Square Park.
There have also been talks between developer John Lam and Marriott as well as Starwood Hotels. There are plans for both hotels to open up in John Lam’s new tower on Broadway between West 29th and West 30th streets. The project, estimated at around $300 million, has plans to feature a 400 room Renaissance brand hotel constructed by Marriott and a 300 room Aloft hotel by Starwood Hotels. Starwood’s Aloft brand is aiming to capture a boutique vibe similar to the other trendy hotels near Madison Square Park.
NoMad is becoming THE destination for hotels in NYC!
