Melt Shop to Bring Grilled Cheese to NoMad
NYC cheese grillers, Melt Shop, will be bringing their grilled cheese to the NoMad District. Melt Shop offers sandwich options ranging from a classic grilled cheese with homemade tomato soup to a truffle melt and a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich.
Melt Shop has some serious foodies behind the scenes. The restaurant was conceived by Spencer Rubin and Katy Sparks. Rubin attended the Hotel School at Cornell and spent time at the Union Square Hospitality Group. Consulting chef Katy Sparks was named one of the Ten Best New Chefs in America by Food & Wine magazine.
We’re so happy they chose the NoMad District for their second location. They join a slew of great sandwich shops in the neighborhood including No. 7 Sub and Shake Shack.
Melt Shop’s flagship restaurant is at 53rd St and Lexington Ave. So if you can’t wait for the NoMad location, stop in there after a trip to the MoMa!
