Mayor Bloomberg Speaking at Orly Genger Opening in Madison Square Park
Mayor Michael Bloomberg will be speaking at the Orly Genger Red, Yellow & Blue opening in the Madison Square Park neighborhood. The event takes place at 10:30 am on Wednesday, May 1st. The mayor will speak at a press conference at 11 am.
NoMad and the Madison Square Park neighborhood have become a hotbed for public art in NYC. Since taking charge of Mad. Sq. Arts, curator Adam Glick has taken the fantastic work they are doing to a whole new level. We’ve seen so many incredible installations from Jamie Plensa’s Echo to Leo Villareal’s Buckyball and many more.
This isn’t the first time that Mayor Bloomberg has spoken in the Madison Square Park neighborhood recently. He picked NoMad to talk about the great work that is happening in the Silicon Alley tech industry.
Mad. Sq. Art is asking that guests arrive at Madison Square Park at 10:30 to gather for Mayor Bloomberg. They don’t have a set location yet, but indicated that the crowd will be easy to spot.
