Madison Square Park Conservancy Launches M.U.C.K.

The Madison Square Park Conservancy launches M.U.C.K., a science club for kids

Madison Square Park Conservancy recently launched M.U.C.K., a club for kids. M.U.C.K. (The Madison Urban Club for Kids) aims to provide local youth with a basic understanding of science, the natural world, and the importance of urban green spaces.

The club will present a series of horticultural workshops and classes throughout the year, which will be held in Madison Square Park. Each event is free and open to kids of all ages (adult supervision required).

The club kicks off with their inaugural event: Flower Power, a fun introduction to the water cycle hosted by Gardener Steph. Flower Power consists of a 15-minute discussion followed by an activity lasting an hour and a half. The event, on Saturday, April 12th runs from 10 a.m. to noon. To attend, simply show up ready for fun, at Madison Square Park’s Northern Reflecting Pool.
