Join Our Neighbors in Welcoming Fall at Kids Fest in Madison Square Park

For most families, the encroaching crisp fall air beckons the start of the season of school bus schedules, math homework, and the largest mugs of coffee we can hold. But before we embrace this change in tides and packed social calendars that come with it, we owe it to ourselves and our kids to bid summer goodbye and greet the great weather of autumn. And Madison Square Park Conservancy has the perfect event. Kids Fest will be a night and full day of merriment and fun for the whole family. Come to Madison Square Park on September 13th and 14th for the fun. The best part—it’s free!

The weekend festivities will kick off on Friday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and will resume on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday’s theme aptly named “Circus in the Circle” will feature a water balloon gladiator show with friends from Acrobuffos. You may even find yourselves stumbling upon a clown or two in the Reflecting Pool at the northern end of the park.

Saturday’s entertainment dubbed “Stages in the Square” anticipates even more fun! The day is jam packed with a variety of performances across four stages in the park. Productions range from circus acts, music and dance, and theater to puppetry, magic shows, and storytelling, which will captivate the eyes and ears of you and your children. The day long event is a perfect outing for families with kids 0-12 years old. And no need to make a Plan B contingent on weather because the event will take place come rain or shine!

The fun filled weekend is bound to leave your kids talking about Kids Fest for days and may even put a bounce in their step as they return to the halls of learning.
