James Kent is the New Executive Chef at The NoMad

James Kent has been named the new Executive Chef at The Nomad.

James Kent will become the executive chef at The NoMad restaurant. Kent currently holds the position of chef de cuisine at Eleven Madison Park. Both restaurants are under the direction of chef/owner Daniel Humm.

Kent will fill the vacancy left by the impending departure of original team member and chef de cuisine Abram Bissell, who will be leaving The NoMad at the end of 2013. It is rumored Bissell will become the head chef at The Modern.

The NoMad, which has counted President Obama, Bill and Hillary Clinton and a host of stars as dinner guests, is one of the newer additions to the NYC food scene in the last couple years, but has quickly established a foothold as one of the finest dining establishments in the city. The menu has been raved about by the critics and features an already iconic roasted chicken and much talked about radishes butter-dipped with fleur de sel, along with many other interesting dishes.

We’re excited to see what ideas James Kent has in store when he assumes his position as executive chef of The NoMad.
