International Law Firm Gunderson Dettmer Moving to NoMad

The NoMad neighborhood continues to attract notable companies and firms as the revitalization trend continues to steam forward. One of the most recent arrivals is noted technology law firm Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian LLP, which recently inked a 15-year lease to occupy three floors in the newly rebranded NoMad Tower at 1250 Broadway.

The lease agreement includes 44,718 square feet of space on floors 20-22 of the tower. Gunderson Dettmer is the third major tenant that the NoMad Tower has signed in recent months—the previous two being Zillow Group and TransPerfect. The lease made The Real Deal’s list of Top NYC Office Leases for March. Owned by Global Holdings, the NoMad Tower is currently in the midst of a $50-million capital improvement project, which includes a newly repositioned lobby, an indoor two-story amphitheater with seating for 100, and a new tenant-only amenity lounge.

Gunderson Dettmer is an international law firm focused on venture capital and technology, having offices in seven major U.S. cities as well as in Beijing and Singapore. It will be moving its NYC headquarters into NoMad from its current location at 220 West 42nd Street in Midtown West. As this neighborhood is rapidly becoming a hub for design, technology and startup companies, the Gunderson Dettmer move seems to be a perfect fit with the technology expansion in NoMad.
