Help Fight Cancer At Hill Country Chicken On Monday
Cancer is heartbreaking no matter what age it hits, but it is unimaginable when it strikes a small child.
Please help raise money for and awareness of childhood cancer by dropping by Hill Country Chicken, 1123 Broadway at 25th Street, next Monday (8/20) in NoMad New York for some lemonade.
Hill Country Chicken will be hosting an Alex’s Lemonade Stand next Monday and all proceeds will be donated to the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. Let’s show what NoMad can do!
When Alex, a young girl diagnosed with cancer before her first birthday, was four yeas old she opened a lemonade stand to raise money for doctors to find a cure. She did so every year until she died at eight years of age, and the effort grew astonishingly every year. Since the beginning, the movement Alex started has raised more than $55 million dollars and has helped to:
- Fund more than 250 cutting-edge research projects
- Create a travel program to help support families of children receiving treatment
- Develop resources to help people everywhere affected by childhood cancer
Alex has shown us that one person can make a difference. Be that one person next Monday.
