Excitement Builds Around NoMad Alliance Benefit in October
On Monday, June 5th, members and friends of the NoMad Alliance came together to celebrate the organization’s successful progress toward its benefit on October 2nd. The party was great fun with guests enjoying wonderful food from ILILI, Black Barn, and Ben & Jack’s; a first taste of the NoMad cocktail presented by Black Barn; and an impromptu jazz performance by Frank Catalano. All of this was set against incredible views of NoMad in a room filled with the type of people that make NoMad remarkable — open, creative, smart, interesting people from all walks of life.
Proving one more time, that a NoMad Alliance event is one never to be missed!
During the course of the evening, business owners and community supporters learned more about how they can help promote the organization’s mission and discussed ways they could help to raise funds to establish a full-time executive director and other staffing needs as the organization grows. The Alliance has a number of projects planned for the future, but day-to-day direction and staffing is essential to realize these ambitious plans and to seize on the many opportunities being presented to us which can benefit the community.
Many signed up to be on committees for the October 2nd event, including those for ticket sales, building residents outreach, building owners outreach, talent, refreshments, auction items, and goody-bag gifts. Others offered their professional advice to help plan and execute the event for maximum success. It is clear that now more than ever, people care about our neighborhood’s illustrious past, beautiful buildings, incredible park, and promising future — and want to be an integral part in helping to shape that future.
If you are interested in getting involved with the benefit on October 2nd, the Alliance welcomes you to take part in any way you feel most comfortable — as a volunteer committee person, sponsor, or attendee.
Let’s continue to improve the community and grow its businesses while sustaining all that makes NoMad so special.
