Celebrate Christmas Eve with Dinner in NoMad

One of the benefits of having some of the best restaurants in the world in NoMad is the abundance of holiday meal specials. If you haven’t made your plans for Christmas Eve dinner, NoMad has some sublime options to choose from.

Black Barn

black barn will feature a special easter brunch menu

While Chef John Doherty’s always satisfying fare at Black Barn is an upscale and inventive approach to American cuisine, this Christmas Eve the restaurant is offering a distinctly Italian tradition: the Feast of Seven Fishes.

Black Barn’s Executive Chef Matteo Bergamini was born and raised in Italy. He is heading up the Feast of Seven Fishes menu, to include items like shellfish, tuna, calamari, salmon, octopus and much more for the very reasonable price of $85.

Not a fish lover? Black Barn will also serve a second Christmas Eve menu with favorites like Grilled Filet Mignon, Curried Cauliflower Steak and Amish Chicken. Make your reservations here.

La Pecora Bianca

Not to be outdone, the Italian restaurant La Pecora Bianca is also offering its version of the Feast of Seven Fishes menu, including lobster, dorade and monkfish. The entire “feast” is priced at $75, with wine pairing for an additional $40.

The restaurant is offering a second prix fixe menu for $75 that includes options like Tuscan Kale Insalata, Gramigna (house made sausage), a 28 day dry-aged NY Strip Steak and La Pecora Bianca’s scrumptious desserts. Make your reservation here while there is still space.

Visit Asellina at Gansevoort Park for Christmas Eve

Asellina in the Gansevoort Park has a number of holiday specials on its menu. We recommend the Lobster Bisque appetizer with the Roasted Pheasant entree. It is also featuring a special dessert: Peppermint Hot Chocolate. The delectable dessert comes with Molten Dark Chocolate Cake, Crushed Candy Cane, Toasted Pistachio and White Chocolate Crème Anglaise. Click here for reservations.

The Smith NoMad

Visit The Smith NoMad for Christmas Eve

While many of us are looking for something out of the ordinary on Christmas Eve, perhaps reliable comfort food is more your taste this year. If so, we recommend heading to The Smith NoMad — always fun, casual and delicious. The restaurant will be offering its regular menu and normal hours. A Christmas Eve Chicken Pot Pie or Burger Royale is a hearty way to welcome the Winter holidays. Click here for more information.
