Celebrate Mad Sq. Chefs 2017 was a Fun-filled Feast
This week nearly a thousand ravenous guests gathered in Madison Square Park to celebrate the innovative and diverse foods of the Madison Square area at this year’s Celebrate Mad. Sq. Chefs. An annual celebration that is not to be missed, this year’s event featured 31 chefs representing 34 restaurants, with 16 different drinks paired to the food offerings. Hot Jazz performed by The Brain Cloud provided a cool vibe for the evening.
Being the food-destination neighborhood it is, the NoMad District was well represented at the event. NoMad chefs serving their delights to the party-goers were:
John Doherty and Matteo Bergamini, Black Barn
Jean-Paul Bourgeois, Blue Smoke
Michael Sanchez, Bo’s
Ed Carew, The Cannibal Beer and Butcher
Fitz Tallon, Eataly
Hooni Kim, Hanjan
Ash Fulk, Hill Country Barbecue Market and Hill Country Chicken
Philippe Massoud, ilili
Jared Sippel from Italienne
Akshay Bhardwaj, Junoon
Daryel Zeruk, L&W Oyster
Jaime A. Torres and Felipe Torres, Latin Beet and Raymi
Adam Starowicz, The Little Beet Table
Kyle Knall, Maysville
Daniel Humm and Mike Reilly, The NoMad
Shake Shack
Brian Ellis, The Smith
Celebrate Mad Sq. Chefs was once again a great success. Everyone had a great time and the Conservancy was able to raise funds to continue to keep the Madison Square New York’s most beautiful, vibrant and clean park.
