Casa Nomad – A Touch of Paradise Right Here in NoMad

Recently, Casa Nomad opened its doors in NoMad.  This hip spot’s motto, “Eat well, travel often,” is a mantra that is apparent in the eatery’s fantastic food offerings and relaxing décor.

When you enter Casa Nomad you might be reminded of a cafe in paradise such as one on a beach in Bali or Tulum. As one reviewer commented, “The first thing that caught my attention was the beautiful bohemian style with hanging plants. The mirrors, wall decor, and light fixtures were pieces of art.  The vibe is welcoming, charming, and neat.”

The eatery is currently offering a great grab-and-go lunch with delicious ingredients and a brunch menu.  Soon, Casa Nomad is planning to extend services to breakfast, brunch, and evening drinks with small plates.

All of the restaurant’s beautifully plated options are made with whole and hearty ingredients. Among the dishes customers can enjoy are classics such as avocado toast and beautifully prepared egg sandwiches. According to Lemoine, a popular item on the menu is the Vegetarian Buddha Bowl made with roasted whole grains and a choice of raw veggies. Another popular choice is the Smoothie Bowl, which includes matcha, banana, and pineapple.  There is a special treat for coffee lovers, too.  Casa Nomad partnered with Niccolo Coffee, an Australian coffee company run by true coffee experts. It is no surprise that the coffee drinks are equally attractive to the eye and delightful to the taste.

According to the superb reviews of Casa Nomad, the customers have been thrilled with the new restaurant. One customer mentioned, “WOW. TWO WORDS: GUILT-FREE! I never thought I’d find myself saying this, but eating healthy never tasted so good.”

Yvan Lemoine, the founder of the restaurant company AKIN Hospitality Group is from Venezuela. No stranger to the restaurant industry and worked with Tao Group for eight years.  He and his two business partners had a vision in mind: to create a place where people can go not only to enjoy a meal but also to feel like part of a community. The owners’ commitment to this idea is evidenced in the inviting atmosphere and a staff that is dedicated to hospitality.  Lemoine summed it up perfectly, “When you are here, you are a part of us.”   This philosophy, largely lost today, was key to the success of George Lang, the longtime owner of Café Des Artiste.  Lang made sure that once someone entered his restaurant, they forgot the world outside.

Be on the lookout for Casa Nomad’s dinner and drinks menu that will be launching soon.  Lemoine mentioned that he and the staff are looking forward to obtaining their liquor license and to start serving dinner in the near future. Come check out Casa Nomad for a delicious meal and great hospitality—you may nurture a desire to live like a nomad.
