Belgian Beer Cafe NoMad to Open Soon

Head over to NoMad this week and try out the Belgian Beer Cafe's wide selection of draft beers, entrees and frites

The long-awaited Belgian Beer Café NoMad will be opening later this week. The café, located at 220 Fifth Avenue at 26th Street, features a wide selection of draft and bottled Belgian beers and a full menu of classic Belgian entrees.

Executive Chef Bill Peet is responsible for creating the menu, which includes favorites like the six variations on moules frites, steak frites, the salmon bacon quiche, a traditional Witloof salad and the duck breast with duck leg confit. Many of the item menus have recommended beer pairings.

The café, designed by Ceneau International of Belgium, features two-floors of open dining rooms facing Madison Square Park with seating for a total of 205 patrons. The decor successfully evokes the cafe’s namesake through the use of authentic antiques and tiling recovered from Belgian schools, homes and flea markets.

Belgian Beer Café NoMad opens this Thursday, August 28th, and will offer lunch and dinner service on weekdays with brunch and dinner service on the weekends. The full menu can be found on the Belgian Beer Cafe’s website. Stop by later this week and check it out!
